Dirt brown and icy cold, the ground non-stop shivers in winter time. It could not protect itself from rain, sleet or snow fall. It endures and takes its season of change without whining. Could it be that it knows most of its life and nourishment depend on what falls down from the sky? Could it be that it knows getting soaked and drenched, time and again, prepares it for all things that grow when spring comes? The ground must know full well that like all things, it must bend with the stream of storms and allow all precipitation to come and go, and then run their course. The ground must truly know that to get gracefully dressed green again in spring, it must weather the seasons and their ever changing wheel … and yes, even the drab, rough elements of winter.
