Either receiving or giving it, care is something we do.  It grows out of our deep affinity and love for our neighbor sisters and brothers.  We care for others because there is a nudging within us to act on the same kindness many times shown to us.  We care for others because there is an active joy we feel about helping someone who could not attend to his/her personal or survival need.  We answer those pertinent care calls because we know that otherwise, they might not get the deserved responses.  No matter what our stations in life, but especially when our high social positions bar us in responding aggressively to others' dire needs, we choose to care because we are all called to serve and care for one another at any given time!
